World - Aldous Huxley (1932)
The other
great dystopia from the middle 20th Century was banned in Ireland
immediately, in the sixties in India and in various American states, all for
its description of casualised sex – a satire that now seems quaint. As late as
1980 it was removed from Missouri classrooms and was still controversial in 1990’s
California.
